It’s possible to log changes on Master Data Information both on value level or information value level.

So for example, if I look at my items, and I have my first item and I go into the specifications, I might’ve set up that my last date tested is something that needs to be changed.

So for instance, if I changed it from 23rd of June to July, 13 for instance, I have defined that it should create a log to change this.

So, if I click this line and I navigate and go into my functions archive entries, I can see here all the archive entries existing for those specific lines and if I scroll right, I can see if it was information value change, it would be here, and then if it’s a value change which is this example.

It says here which is the previous value, what is the new value and who changed it and on which date and on which time.

So because this specific date, it might seem strange with all these different dates.

So, we’ll just take another example. For instance, my serial information list because I can also add Master Data Information on serial number level and this might be a computer that is has a specific serial number and is given to somebody internally.

And I can add specifications for that and there might be for instance a software update that I also like log or put a log on.

So likewise, if I navigate into this and look at my functions archive entries, I can see if there has been changes from one software update to another one.

So, I can see this was born with that software update and on some dates it just changes to the other one here and again, who changed it, what date, et cetera.

So, this way it’s possible to setup a log on Master Data Information to see who changes what.

And this could be done not only for logging who is actually doing the changes but also for logging specific values, for instance, if you have serial numbers and something that changes like update, or changes in weight or size or whatever and you like to see how the history was, you can extract history from that table.
