How to import records from the basic tables?

When working with the information matrix, the line that you see is imported into the matrix by the user. This video shows you an example from the item list.

Transcription of video

From my information matrix, I might already have some lines in here, I could delete them or continue with them but now I’d like to add some more lines and I can import lines directly from the basic table and the basic table in this case is from the item, so import lines will reflect to my item table, meaning when I input, I could select that maybe the item number should be an interval.

This is standard filters in Business Central and maybe I would like to only import manufacturing items, so I have Replenishment System needs to be Product Order et cetera.

So, I can add as many filters as I prefer and it will just import the lines into my matrix. I need though to refresh the matrix to see all the information fields here that relates to this item.

Likewise, I can delete lines in the matrix, if I don’t want to work with the Front Wheel, for instance, anymore, I’ll just delete it in here and of course it doesn’t delete the item, just the information matrix view. Likewise, on the customer and vendor cards and other basic tables, I can import lines based on the basic table.
