It is possible to determine a specific order that you would like to sort master data in.

Transcription of video

So if you enter my Master Data Information from an item, I can see they’re sorted by bike type first, wheel diameter last but maybe I would like to see gender first because it’s more urgent to me and then after gender, I would like to see the tire type as number two and I’d like to have the material in the end.

So how do I do that?

By going into my Master Data Information Code and editing the list, I can find the field Sorting order and change gender to be one for instance. These are just alphanumerically sorted and I can find my tire type and make it number two and I can find my material and make it something higher than 99 which is the default value.

And note that it asked me do you want to update the sorting order for each information codes I’m changing. And now while going back I can see that the order is now changed, I have my gender first then my tire type and the material in the end. And next time I go into my information code list, it is by the way sorted in that order already in here.
