With the master data information, it’s possible to set up logical dependencies and it’s possible to apply that to the configurator as well.

But first of all, you should go into the master data information videos and look at this config dependencies functionality to figure out how it works.

So, we will explain in this video how you can see for instance here that if the gear is a seven-gear bike the bike type can be either a city bike or Calibri but if the gear is 20 or 21 it has to be a mountain bike etc.

So, there’s different criteria you can set up here where you can define logical dependencies.

This means when you enter the specification on an item and you have entered one of the criteria when you drill down to enter one of the other criteria like this for instance you only see four selections because there’s some logical dependencies applied to this and you can see this due to the header information here it says user config value list whereas if I’m drilling down my gender which is another parameter no that was also a dependency list let me try to take another one material opens the information value list so it’s the same data we’re looking at but this is a non-filtered list whereas the dependencies are filtering here.

If I delete my bike in here on my item, I need to do that properly like this and I’m now drilling into my gear I can see that the list is longer there’s more I can select between and again it works both ways so once I’ve selected a gear and I look up in my bike type I can only select some of it.

This is the base functionality of the logical dependencies, and the point is that you can have this applied to the configurator as well.
