This is what happens in the video
Waybills in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central let you specify packaging type, dimensions, and weight for a sales order before shipping. You add a waybill directly from the sales lines on a sales order, choose a packaging type such as a pallet, and the system shows you the length, height, and width of the package.
You can leave the gross and net weight fields empty so warehouse workers can weigh the packages and enter the weight directly on the waybill later. Before you send the waybill, you need to update all the information, including the shipping origin and destination.
How to create a waybill on a sales order
Once you have generated your sales order, you can add a waybill to it. The waybill is found below your sales lines. To create one, you press Function and then Create new waybill.
From here you choose the packaging type you want to use. If your order contains two bikes, for example, you might choose a pallet to ship them on.
Setting package dimensions and weight
When you have selected the packaging type, the waybill shows you the length, height, and width of your package.
You can also enter the gross and net weight. In practice, these fields are often left empty so that warehouse workers can fill them in. The worker weighs the packages and enters the weight directly on the waybill.
Reviewing the full waybill information
To see all the details, you go to Function and then Waybill. This gives you the full information on your waybill, including where the shipment is going and where it is being shipped from.
All of this information needs to be updated before you send your waybill.
