If you need to work with the data behind a calculation in Business Central, you can export it to Excel directly from the document you are viewing. This is useful when you want to do a custom calculation or analyse the numbers in a familiar tool.

Export a calculation from a single document to Excel

To export a custom calculation from a single document, press the Open in Excel button. This sends the calculation straight to Excel.

Once the file opens in Excel, you can work with the data however you need. The numbers from the document are now available for you to edit, recalculate, or analyse on your own terms.
