When a customer is adding items to their cart, they are actually adding them to the sales quote. So today I’m going to show you how you can help a customer choose the right product from Business Central.

The customer we’re going to work on is the Bike Master Chicago, and I just need their email address to log on. And now this customer can put an item into the basket. And they can see it in their own currency. But what now if the customer is unsure if this is the correct product, so they call you up. You then go to the sales quote.

So you’re going to navigate to the sales quotes, and you’re going to find the customer here. And of course if you have a lot of customers, you need to search for it, but we are lucky that we know it’s the Bike Master Chicago, so we’re just going to go to the sales quote. And we can see that it has the salesperson code web, which is our specific special salesperson code that we use for all web orders. And we can see the item they put into the cart. And if they call us up, we can say, oh, you shouldn’t choose the City Bike, you should choose the City Colibri Bike, because that’s actually what you want. And you know there’s a good discount if you buy two, so let’s add two to the cart instead. Now the customer just needs to reload their page. And they can see two pieces of their Colibri bike in here.
