Abakion’s mobile job time solution includes a Find Item function that helps you locate items by bin. The function only appears when your location is set up to use bins. If your location does not use bins, you will not see the Find Item or Bin Content flows at all.

You enter an item number, and the system shows you the bin content list. The list tells you where the item is stored and in what quantities. It works as a small warehouse lookup tool for finding items on the move.

You can use bins beyond a traditional warehouse. If you keep materials in a service car with numbered shelves, you can set each shelf up as a bin and use Find Item to locate screws, parts, and other small items.

The Find Item Function in the Job Time Menu

In the job time menu you will find a simple flow called Find Item. It is built for situations where you need to know exactly where an item is stored. Instead of searching manually, you enter the item number and let the system point you to the right location.

The idea is straightforward. You type in an item number, and the system responds with the bin content list. That list shows you where to find the item and how much of it is available in each bin. It is an easy way to look up stock without leaving the mobile flow.

Find Item Only Appears When You Use Bins

The Find Item and Bin Content flows are tied to bin setup. They are only displayed if you have a location set up to use bins. If you do not work with bins, these flows stay hidden, so you only see the functionality that is relevant to how you have configured your locations.

Using Bins for Service Cars and Mobile Stock

Bins are not limited to a physical warehouse. If you carry a lot of materials in a service car and you keep them organised on small numbered shelves, you can treat those shelves as bins. Set up a bin for each shelf, and you can use Find Item to track down the small screws, parts, and bits you need on the job. It turns a well-organised car into a searchable mini-warehouse.
