One of the very big advantages with the job time mobile is that it uses standard business central functionality.

Job Time Mobile lets your technicians register time and materials on jobs directly from their phone. It runs entirely on standard Business Central functionality, so registrations land in the job journal or timesheet automatically, based on the setup on the resource card.

The only extra feature on top of standard Business Central is the time collector. It lets you press start when you arrive at a job and stop when you are done, and it captures the time in between, including automatic pauses.

Because Job Time Mobile uses standard lookup pages, you can look up item numbers and see the bin content list the same way you would in Business Central.

Job Time Mobile runs on standard Business Central functionality

One of the big advantages of Job Time Mobile is that it builds on standard Business Central functionality. When you register time, or time and materials, you are running on standard Business Central underneath.

The app automatically works out where to put each registration. Depending on the setup on the resource card, the registration goes into either a job journal or a timesheet. You don’t have to decide that manually.

Item lookups use standard Business Central pages

If you are looking for an item number, you get the standard lookup experience. You can see the bin content list directly, because Job Time Mobile is built on the standard lookup pages in Business Central rather than on a separate set of screens.

The time collector handles start and stop registration

The one thing added on top of standard Business Central is the time collector functionality. It gives you start and stop registration, so you can gather time from the moment you start until the moment you stop.

In practice it is simple. When you arrive at a job, you press start on your phone. When you are done, you press stop. The time collector can also pause automatically.

The time collector is an extra feature with its own table structure. The data it captures transfers into the job journal or timesheet, so everything still runs on standard Business Central functionality underneath.
