Set up email templates in different languages in Business Central
In Business Central you can set up email templates so the right content goes out in the right language. If you have customers in France, for example, you can create a dedicated template that sends sales order emails in French. Here is how the setup works.
Adding a new email template line
To add a new template, you start by adding a new line in the email setup. For each line you specify a few key fields that determine when the template applies:
- Document type sales – choose the department or area the template belongs to.
- Document type sales order – choose the specific document the template covers.
- Language code – choose the language, for example French.
Under the email template field, you create a new document template that holds the content of your email.
Opening and filling out the template card
Once the setup line is in place, you can open the template card and fill out the content for your French email template. From this point the template is ready to use, and emails for French sales orders will go out with the content you have defined.
