In Business Central you can configure the email body text that goes out with your documents by editing the start text and end text fields on the document template. These two fields are plain text fields, so you can write or edit directly in them. Any comments from the document header or document lines appear between the two texts, provided you have enabled this in the document handling setup.

Editing the email body text on a document template

When you want to edit the configured email body text, open the document template and scroll down to the start text and end text. Both sections are text fields, which means you can simply write or edit the content directly in the fields.

Difference between start text and end text

The start text appears at the top of the email body, and the end text appears at the bottom. The difference between them matters when you work with comments. Any comments placed on the document header or the document lines are inserted between the start text and the end text. This only happens if you have enabled comment handling in the document handling setup.
