Presenter: Christina Fausbøll, Product Manager

In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, you can see which emails have been sent for a specific document directly from that document. The information appears in the FactBox on the right-hand side, in the section called Sent Emails. There you can see how many emails have been sent and who sent them, and you can open each email to read what was sent to the customer.

Which sent emails you can see depends on your standard email setup and on the email user policies configured for your user. These policies control access on a per-user basis.

Viewing sent emails from a document

When you work with a document in Business Central, you can see the emails that have been sent for that document. This information is available in the FactBox on the right-hand side of the screen, under the section named Sent Emails.

In this section you can see how many emails have been sent and who sent them. If you open an email, you can see exactly what was sent to the customer.

How email setup affects what is sent

The emails that appear under Sent Emails depend on the configuration in your standard email setup. The setup determines how emails are sent and recorded against the document.

How email user policies control access

Which sent emails you as a user are allowed to see depends on the policies set up for your user. These are configured in the email user policies.

The email user policies determine the access each individual user has to sent emails. The detailed configuration of these policies is covered separately.
