Why master planning is important when working with Business Central?

Well, the master planning is normally from around 2 weeks till 3 months depending on your company and the way you do planning but opposite to the detailed planning where you make all the specific orders puzzle together how you want to produce them, and the long-term planning which is about breaking down requirement.

This is what happens in the video

The master planning is about the next couple of months on how to do the overall puzzle on production orders.

So master planning is both actually for production orders and for purchases.

So the purchaser would like to plan after the master production planner has done, the master purchase planner would need to confirm all the purchase orders and do all the changes to get the goods on stock at time.

So it’s about avoiding stuck out, being able to start all the production on orders in a nicely matter and gain high service
level and low inventory bindings.

So this is the master planning for both manufacturing, I was meaning production and for purchase.
