If you normally work with purchase quotes, you know it’s not possible to work with the planning as well at the same time. So you need to actually create the purchase quote on the purchase quote list.
With the Purchase Orders Management, actually it’s possible to create quotes directly from the requisition worksheet or the planning worksheet, whatever you prefer. This is a standard requisition worksheet and you can see the only thing that I can do in the process is to carry out the action message and it will create a purchase order.
Now I will switch on the Purchase Order Management app and we will see the difference and the functionality in the requisition worksheet. So with the Purchase Orders Management activated, you can see I have two more lines, related lines, relay lines and handling lines and actually they look up to, in this case, a quote. So I can see actually there’s a quote on this line. But in the process, I now have the possibility to handle journal and send mail. So I will send a mail to my vendor or just handle journal and not send a mail. In this case, I will just handle a journal. So actually, I get a menu saying you want to create orders or you want to create quotes. In this case, I want to create a quote. This question does mean that I actually can make the same quote to several vendors.
In this case, I will just go on. We can go to the quotes. And this new quote is the one that was created directly from the requisition worksheet. And you can do it from the requisition worksheet or you can do it from the planning worksheet. So this is not a standard feature. This is a possibility for you when using the Purchase Order Management.
