If you have personalized a page in Business Central and want to start over, you can clear the changes directly from the page itself. You can choose to reset only your action changes, everything except actions, or all personalization on the page. The reset cannot be undone, so Business Central asks you to confirm before it removes your changes.
How to clear personalization on a page in Business Central
Open the page where you have made personalizations. Go to Setup and Personalize, click Show more, and then select Clear personalization.
The three options for clearing personalization
When you clear personalization, Business Central gives you three options:
- Only Actions: This resets only the actions in the ribbon at the top of the page. Any changes you have made to columns or fields stay in place.
- All Except Actions: This resets the page back to standard for fields, columns, and parts you have added, but it keeps your action changes.
- All: This clears every personalization that has ever been done to the page.
Confirming the reset
Business Central asks whether you really want to do this, because you cannot undo it. Click Yes to continue, and then click Done. The personalization you made to the page is now reset to the standard view.
