This is what happens in the video

Logging into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central happens through a web browser. You enter the URL you received from your Business Central supplier, type in your username and access code, and you are in. Signing out works from the menu in the top right corner, but there is one detail worth knowing: signing out does not always force a new login. If your browser stays open, it will log you back in automatically without asking for your credentials. To force a fresh login, you have to close the browser completely.

How to log into Business Central through the browser

Business Central runs in a web browser, so there is no separate program to install for everyday use. To log in, open your browser and paste in the URL you received from your Business Central supplier. This URL points to your specific Business Central environment.

Once you have entered the URL, type in your username and the access code you were given. After that, you are logged into the Business Central client and ready to work.

Working in the Business Central client

When you are logged in, you can hide the browser’s menu bar if you want to see Business Central in full screen. From here you can search, open sales orders, and use the rest of the system as normal.

How to sign out of Business Central

To log out, click the menu at the top of the screen and select log out or sign out. This signs you out of Business Central.

Why signing out does not always force a new login

There is an important detail to be aware of when you sign out. If you sign out and then sign in again while the browser is still open, Business Central signs you in automatically without asking for your credentials. The browser remembers your session, so you are not prompted for your access code.

If you want to force a real login, where the system asks for your credentials again, you have to close the browser entirely. When you reopen the browser and paste in your login path, you will be asked to re-enter your access code. This matters when you share a computer or want to make sure the next person cannot get straight into your session.
