How to resize columns on list pages in Business Central?

In this video, I will show you how you can resize a column on any list page in Business Central.

This is what happens in the video

Resizing columns is one of those small adjustments that makes working in Business Central a lot easier. When a column is too narrow to show the full information, you can widen it in just a few seconds. This works on any list page in Business Central.

Two ways to resize a column on a list page

Take the chart of accounts as an example. You might notice that the Name column and the Net Change column are too narrow to display all the information they contain. There are two simple ways to fix this.

The first option is to drag the column. Move your cursor to the edge of the column heading, click, and drag it to the width you want. The column expands as you drag.

The second option will be familiar if you use Excel. Double-click on the edge of the column heading, and the column resizes automatically to fit the content.

Both methods work the same way on any list page in Business Central, so you can use whichever feels most natural to you.
