Apply the templates for the Finance Template area

The Abakion standard package includes a finance area you can apply selectively without touching the rest of the package. You do this from the Global Master Templates package under Setup. By filtering on the finance template area and applying the normal templates, you also apply all the sub-templates automatically.

When you apply the templates, the package goes into a pending state and waits for approval before the changes take effect.

Applying only the finance part of the Abakion standard package

After downloading the standard package from Abakion, you may want to apply only the templates that belong to the finance area, rather than rolling out the entire package at once. This is straightforward to do.

Start by going to Setup and opening the Global Master Templates package. From here you control which parts of the package get applied.

Filtering on the finance template area

Create a filter on the template area and set it to finance. This narrows the list down so you only see the templates relevant to the finance area, and you avoid applying anything outside of it.

Marking and applying the normal templates

With the filter in place, mark all the normal templates for apply. You do not need to mark the sub-templates separately. When you apply the normal templates, all the sub-templates underneath them are applied as well.

Once you have marked all the lines, press Apply Selected Package.

The package waits for approval

After you apply the package, all the selected templates are processed and the package is set to pending for approval. The changes are not final until the approval step is completed.
