If you use Abakion’s Global Master Data solution in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, you can install preconfigured data templates instead of building them from scratch. You find them under Setup and Global Master Template Packages, where you use Get Standard Packages to download the full list.
You apply the templates you need, and Global Master Data automatically adds related templates. When you select Chart of Accounts, the solution also adds the Default Dimensions data template.
After installation, the templates have the status Pending Approval. You release them through Tasks, Master, and Release Pending Templates. Leaving the filters blank releases all templates in the Pending Approval state at once.
Installing preconfigured data templates from Abakion
Global Master Data ships with a set of preconfigured data templates that you can use right away. To get them, go to Setup and then Global Master Template Packages.
From the ribbon, select Get Standard Packages and click Yes. This gives you the complete list of preconfigured data templates available for installation.
Selecting and applying the templates you need

Verifying that the templates installed correctly
To check that the data templates downloaded and installed correctly in your company, go back to the Role Center and click Data Templates. The templates you applied should appear in the list with the status Pending Approval.
If you need to adjust a template before releasing it, click on the data template, make your changes, and go back.
Releasing the pending data templates
The installed templates stay in the Pending Approval state until you release them. To release them, go to your Role Center, then Tasks, then Master, and select Release Pending Templates.
If you leave the filters blank, the action releases all data templates currently in the Pending Approval state. Once released, the templates are active and ready to use.
