Forecast entries is among the few entries in Business Central that you can actually modify or delete and this is quite nice because often you happen to make bad data with forecast.

This is what happens in the video

Let’s take this example. I have my item in here, different quantities and instead of 32, I would like to have 40. So this is no problem, except I forgot to add my location field at the top so it’s location blank, which means that the 32 could have been on all different location, but the last eight I just made is on location blank.

And therefore, if I drill down, I can see the last entry in here and it’s possible actually to change some of the fields in here so I can change the salesperson, but I could also in this scenario of course delete it because it was a wrong one and then I could enter the location field up here and do it again. So it’s very nice that you can actually change the forecast entry on the historical entry.

And likewise, if you import from Excel and the import was bad, you can go into the forecast entry remove all the filters and then delete in terms of entry number because all forecast entry are made with an entry number.
