This is what happens in the video

Flexible Forecast lets you export your forecast to Excel and enrich each line with extra columns of information. You control which data appears by setting checkmarks in the export settings. By default, you get columns like last year’s forecast, last year’s revenue, and quantity sold last year, but you can add more columns as needed.

The columns in the Excel sheet are built automatically based on the checkmarks you select. You can also choose how the lines are split in the sheet, which makes it possible to create large, detailed exports with many columns.

Enriching the forecast export with extra columns

When you export a forecast to Excel using Flexible Forecast, you can add many different types of information to the columns. In a typical setup, you have checkmarks that show columns such as last year’s forecast, last year’s revenue, and the quantity sold last year. These are the default columns.

Beyond the defaults, you can choose to show additional columns in the Excel sheet. Each column you want is controlled by a checkmark, so the export reflects exactly the data you need.

How the columns are built in the Excel sheet

The columns in the exported Excel sheet are built automatically, depending on which checkmarks you have set. You don’t have to construct the layout manually. Set the checkmarks for the information you want, and Flexible Forecast generates the columns accordingly.

Splitting lines and handling large exports

You can also decide how the lines are split in the Excel sheet. This means you can produce very large Excel sheets with quite many columns. There are some things to be aware of when working with big exports, which are covered separately.
