This is what happens in the video

The intercompany app for Business Central lets you see the projected inventory of your supply company directly on a sales order in your sales company. From a sales line, you open Item availability by intercompany and see what your intercompany partners have on stock, including their location, gross requirement, scheduled receipts, and projected inventory.

The projected inventory shows the total quantity actually available for you to pick from across your supply companies. This means you can confirm what you can sell without leaving the sales order or switching companies.

The app supports multiple intercompany partners at once, so you can compare availability across several supply companies on the same line.

See supply company inventory directly on the sales order

With the intercompany app, you can view the inventory profile from your supply company directly on an order in your sales company. There is no need to switch between companies or manually check stock levels somewhere else.

Say you have a sales order in your sales company for a customer, with a sales line for two pieces of a city bike. While you are on that line, you click Line and then Item availability by intercompany. This opens a view of the projected inventory at your intercompany partners.

What the intercompany availability view shows

The view shows the projected inventory of your intercompany partners. In this example there are two different intercompany partners, and you can see both their location and their projected inventory.

For each partner you also see:

  • What remains on their location as current stock.
  • Their gross requirement, which could be other sales orders in the supply companies.
  • Scheduled receipts, which could be purchase orders or production orders coming in at the supply companies.
  • Their projected inventory, which is the sum of what is actually available for you to pick from.

Confirm what you can sell from your supply companies

This gives you a simple way to stay on a sales order in your sales company and immediately see what is available to sell from your supply companies. You get the full picture of current stock, incoming receipts, and existing demand in one place, so you can make a reliable decision on the spot.
