Now let’s look into how we create a purchase invoice that we would like to get sent to our intercompany partner for re-invoicing.

This is what happens in the video

I’ll click on purchasing, purchase invoices, and click new. I choose my vendor for the invoice, type in the vendor invoice number, and I type in my purchase invoice lines. I’ll just make one here for the example. And a price.

So now we get to the intercompany specific fields. So we need to choose the intercompany partner that we need to get this one sent to. So I’ll pick my supply company, and here I can choose my intercompany partner reference type.

I’m also using the G/L account here, and here I type in my intercompany G/L account. The intercompany G/L accounts are set up in intercompany chart of account. We have another video on that.

So now I’m actually ready to post this purchase order, and when I post it, it will create two lines in my intercompany journal for me to handle in my supply company. So let’s post this. And no, I don’t want to see the posted invoice.

So now I’m done, and in another video, I’ll show how you handle the lines that are created in the intercompany journal.
