Customer card structure in Business Central

The customer card in Business Central organises information into tabs, where fields that belong together are grouped. This makes it easier to find what you need without scrolling through one long list of fields.

You can collapse the tabs so you only see the fields that have been promoted. Promoted fields are the key pieces of information you want visible at a glance, even when the rest of the tab is closed.

The General tab

The General tab holds the basic identifying information for the customer. Here you find the customer number, the name, the balance, and the total sales.

The Address and Contact tab

The Address and Contact tab holds the customer’s address and contact information.

The Invoicing tab

In the Invoicing tab, you find the posting details and the currency code for the customer.

The Payment tab

The Payment tab covers how payments are handled. Here you have the application method, the payment method, the payment terms, and the reminder terms.

The Shipping tab

The Shipping tab holds the information related to shipping. This includes the ship-to codes, which control where you want to ship items from, along with other shipping-related details.
