When you print a sales order confirmation in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, you can choose to preview it, send it to a printer, or save it as a PDF or Word document. You can also archive a copy of the confirmation so you can find it again later under archived documents. This article walks through the print options and what the printed confirmation contains.

Printing a sales order confirmation in Business Central

Once you have filled out the fields you need on the sales order, you can print it. Go to Print/Send and choose Print Confirmation to open the print options.

Under the options, you can decide whether a simple component should be shown and whether the document should be archived when it is printed.

If you archive the document, Business Central saves a copy that you can find again in Archived Documents.

To look at the document before doing anything else, press Preview to see a copy on screen.

To send it to a printer, press Print. Under Send To, you also have the option to save the confirmation as a PDF document or as a Word document.

What the printed order confirmation contains

On the printed order confirmation, the customer address is shown. The company address information comes from the document header and is printed along with the document lines.
