The Shop Floor Overview in your production setup includes a range of filters in the header. Some of these apply to the capacity load lines, while others control production order lines and operation lines. If you only want to work with the capacity load calculation, you need to know which filters actually affect that part of the overview.
The fields on the left-hand side of the header all apply to the capacity load lines. These are the filters that control how the capacity is calculated when you click Action and Update Capacity.
The Show Machine Center checkmark controls whether machine center capacity appears in the Excel export. The export to Excel uses the same filter settings as the on-screen calculation.
Which filters apply to the capacity load lines
In the Shop Floor Overview, the header contains filtering functionality for three different things: production order lines, capacity load lines, and operation lines. Many of these fields have nothing to do with the capacity load line overview, so it helps to know which ones matter when you are working with capacity.
The filter fields on the left-hand side all apply to the capacity load lines. The capacity is calculated based on released or firm planned production orders, depending on your selection.
The filters that affect the capacity load line calculation are:
- Production order filter if you do not want to apply all production orders
- Date interval set in the from and to date fields
- Work center filter if you want to limit the calculation to a specific work center
- Machine center filter in the same way as the work center filter
- Include load from journals and Include load from orders
Including load from journals and orders
The Include Load from Journals and Include Load from Orders fields make it possible to bring capacity load from either journals or orders into the selection. The result is calculated in the overview, and the same settings also apply when you use the Export to Excel functionality.
Showing machine centers in the Excel export
The Show Machine Center checkmark determines whether the capacity or load from machine centers is included and shown in the Excel export. When you set this checkmark, the machine center is displayed when you export to Excel.
Updating the capacity calculation
All of these fields apply to the capacity load line calculation. To run the calculation with your chosen filters, click Action and Update Capacity.
