What the Shop Floor mobile app does

The Shop Floor mobile app for production registration is built around two main areas of functionality. The first is the shop floor overview, which gives you a picture of what is happening on the line. The second is the shop floor mobile menu, where you find the processes for registrations and quick registrations.

You can do quick registrations directly from the overview without opening anything further. From the function area, you can post finished quantity related to the line you have selected, and you can add consumed components. In the operation picture, you can start and stop time and register output.

Setting up mobile flows per line

You configure all of this from the action menu under shop floor setup. Here you define which mobile flows you want to execute from a specific line. The benefit is that you skip several of the manual steps that would otherwise be needed.

For example, if you are registering operation time and start from the operation window, the app already knows the context. When the user selects register time, the production order number and operation number are already filled in. From there, the user presses select time and adds the time. The registration is fast because the information that identifies the work is already in place.

Q&A

What are the two main functionality areas in the Shop Floor mobile app?

The two main areas are the shop floor overview, which shows the status of the line, and the shop floor mobile menu, which contains the processes for registrations and quick registrations.

Can you make registrations without opening the overview?

Yes. You can do quick registrations directly. For example, you can post finished quantity for the selected line, add consumed components, and start, stop, and register output from the operation picture.

Where do you set up which mobile flows run from a line?

You set this up from the action menu under shop floor setup. There you define which mobile flows should be available to execute from a specific line.

How does setting up mobile flows speed up time registration?

When you start a flow from the operation window, the production order number and operation number are already selected for you. The user only needs to choose select time and enter the time, which makes the registration much faster.
