Log inAfter you have created plan supplies for all your existing uncovered demands, you will now have to look at the realistic immediate receipt date on the new purchase supplies.
This is before calculating the movement of dates we need to figure out on the most important purchase items what we can do.
But in this process you have to main focus on the most value adding planning processes, instead of all the details.
So, if you have many purchase lines, and lots of them are just simple to replenish, don’t use time on those, just set the date immediate, and then focus on the complex items.
Let’s look in Business Central.
So, after calculating all my critical items, I will open my quick journal that now contains all the suggested lines, the supplies, some of them purchase, some of them production or assembly or whatever.
And I can filter on all the purchase lines in here, and then look into the items, are they normal, simple to replenish, short lead time, etc., or is it complex items.
For instance, the first one might be a difficult one, and I’m sure I can’t get it before 17th of May for some reason, maybe I’m looking into existing demands, and likewise on the other ones, and therefore I’m handling just the items that I know this could be an issue to get, and therefore I will set a realistic due date.
So, that’s the next step.
