Step (1-8): Repeat with Safety Stock. Then Forecast. Then Reorder Point and Forecast.

The Agile planning routine is run per setup, meaning if you calculate for negative inventory, you do that in all eight steps.

And if you are done and you have more time, you can continue working on safety stock, working on forecast, etc.

So, the Agile planning routine should be run in all iterations per urgency level.

So, once we’ve done calculating all critical items per zero level, triggering up to zero, no forecast, etc, and there’s no line, you can continue.

And depending on the urgency in your company or the season, you might have time for everything, forecast, reorder point, all that stuff.

And if you’re very busy, you might only have time to do the critical handling all the time.

The point is you can handle the most critical stuff first and then less critical and less critical, etc.

So, the more time you have, the more nice your plan gets, but it’s possible always to have the most important stuff first.

You also use the Agile planning routine if a new sales order pops up and you want to see what the consequences of this specific sales order are.

According to my very nice plan, you can add the new sales order, calculate forward and backwards with the eight steps and the Agile routine and see the consequences and inform the salespeople.
