Favorite Information in Fact Boxes on Serial Numbers and Lot Numbers

In Business Central, you can define favorite information fields for serial numbers and lot numbers. This lets you display the data that matters most to you directly on your information lists and cards, without digging through every detail field.

You can set up information fact boxes that show up to 10 selected pieces of information. The setup works the same way for serial numbers and lot numbers, and you can also add replicated fields directly on the serial numbers and lot numbers themselves.

Defining favorite information for serial and lot numbers

The favorite information feature lets you choose which fields you want to see for serial numbers and lot numbers. The same setup option is available for items, customers, and other related records.

When you open a serial number information list or a lot number information list, you can configure an information fact box to display your chosen fields. You decide which favorite numbers to add, and those specifications then appear directly in the overview. This means you see the relevant details at a glance instead of opening each record individually.

Adding replicated fields directly on serial and lot numbers

You can add replicated fields directly on the serial numbers, in addition to the fields shown in the information box. This gives you more flexibility in how much information you carry on each serial number or lot number.

The functionality works consistently across the different views. You can use it when you drill into a card, and it applies to both the lot number information list and the lot number information card. Whichever way you navigate, the favorite information and replicated fields stay available.
