There’s a single field in the master data information setup that relates to the replicate functionality, except of course for the replicate functionality in itself.

And this field is the ability to create new information value here on the fly.

So for instance, on my material, I have aluminum here.

If I look at the drill down list, I have aluminum, plastic, and steel.

And if I’m manually just entering the field, uh wood, I expect to get an arrow here saying, wood doesn’t exist on this drop down list.

Let me just refresh the error.

But if I enter my master data information set up, there’s a field called also insert information value.

And if I check mark this one, and of course you should have a policy for that.

It makes it possible for me now to enter my material directly like this.

So now I actually added, as a user, I added wood as an option on the information value list.

And of course, you need to be aware if your users should be able to do that.
