How to log performed work on service using meta data with Master Data Information?
With Master Data Information, it’s possible to maintain Master Data on service item level or even on serial number level.

So, in this scenario our field service engineer, Gregg, is using either service item or serial number or even both to maintain what he is going to do.
So, for instance, he’s maintaining hydraulic pumps on a manufacturing line of some kind. So, he would like to build in the information matrix some kind of setup where he has a service item, last service date, who did the service, what is the product type we are servicing, what is the cause of error, what is the pump serial number, et cetera.
So, he can actually use this functionality to build up hierarchies of service items. So, even like it’s a computer like this scenario or a pump or whatever, he could maintain all the different parts on the manufacturing line with each a separate serial number or a service item.
In this way, it’s possible to maintain all this data and it’s even possible to add history to it. So, when I change my last date serviced, it will be possible to set up that it should archive the other last date, the previous last date service.
So, on each information I’d like to, I can archive those entries as well and I can see who did the services all way back.
So, that’s all standard with Master Data Information.
