So, in the information matrix, there is a functionality where you can mass update one column or several columns on all the applies entries in one go and for our IT responsible, this is a very cool tool, because in the old days, you always need to contact us as being developers and we will create a report or run a batch job or whatever.

Now, he can import all the records in the information matrix that he likes and he can mass update those items and see CEO Jane here, she’s saving a lot of money on that.

So, for example, if we want to apply life cycle on our items and it’s a new Master Data Information I would like to apply to items and they should all be released or whatever dropdown value we add to this field, it’s possible just to make an information matrix, a column on the life cycle, import all the items that I released, apply released to all the records, delete them again, import the other records that I blocked or whatever, apply, et cetera.

So, this way, you can run, update batch jobs very easily.

And this functionality applies to all of the functions where we have Master Data. So, we can apply and mass update even fields on the item card. It could’ve been safety stock on customers and vendors, serial numbers, et cetera.

It’s very agile to mass update your data.
