With master data information it’s possible for Clara, who works in marketing to actually do a lot of information, directly in business central as a PIM system or a CIM system for customer information handling. So instead of putting this in the back end of the web shop, she can handle this very easily directly in business central.

For example, on the customer side there might be a lot of meta data master data that she’d like to add to our customer or to her customer to be able to segment them. Likewise on the item side if we go over here, we have item: 1000 and 1200 and we have master data on them and she would like to add all kinds of information on those master data and even to add them in different languages, so if she wants to add them in French and Danish and German, specific information or things about the item, she could maintain them only one spot, instead of multiple places.
So, let’s have an example because the information matrix, which is a tool in master data information, Clara can work with those information very easily. So for instance she could make an information matrix about the items, working with multiple items at the same line that she can import, adding or telling about colors, sizes, product types, brand prices, et cetera.
So, it is possible for her to define a view where she can very easily mass update those information on this item. Or if we take another example if could be text, for instance she would like to have specific text in German, French and English and French and maybe pictures attached directly in the system, main pictures, small pictures, pictures from the side, pictures from wherever.
So it’s possible to work with many, many different master data or meta data on the items, likewise on the customers.
