This is what happens in the video

In Business Central you can assign a user ID to a warehouse pick so each warehouse employee knows which picks to perform. You assign the user ID directly on the pick after creating it, before creating it, or you change it later. You can also set the user ID when you create the pick from a warehouse shipment or from the pick worksheet.

Once a user ID is assigned, you filter your warehouse pick overview on that user ID. This lets you distribute picks across your warehouse staff and lets each employee filter on their own user ID to see what to do next. If you leave the user ID blank when creating the pick, it stays unassigned and you assign it later on the specific warehouse pick.

Assigning a user ID directly on the warehouse pick

You can assign a user ID to a warehouse pick at several points: directly on the pick after it has been created, before creating it, or by changing it afterwards. On an existing pick you simply select another colleague who should perform it, and the assignment updates straight away.

The reason to do this is control over your workload. In the overview of your warehouse picks, you can filter on the user ID, so you can spread out which of your warehouse employees handle which picks.

Assigning the user ID when creating a pick from a warehouse shipment

You don’t have to do this manually after the fact. You can set the user ID directly when you create the pick from a warehouse shipment. Go to Functions and choose Create Pick. From there you assign the user ID while creating the pick, selecting the person who is going to perform it. This assigns that person to the pick right away.

Assigning the user ID from the pick worksheet

The same option is available when you create the pick from the pick worksheet. As you create the pick, you assign the user ID to the person who is going to perform it.

If you leave the field blank, the pick is created unassigned, and you need to assign it later on the specific warehouse pick.

Filtering picks by user ID in the warehouse

With the user ID in place, filtering becomes straightforward. As a warehouse employee, you filter on your own user ID and immediately see which picks are yours and what to do next. This keeps the work distributed clearly across the team.
