This is what happens in the video

When you receive goods on a warehouse receipt in Business Central, you can print a physical document that lists item numbers and quantities. You use this printout to check off items with a pen while you unpack, and then enter the correct quantities back in the warehouse receipt afterwards.

You print the document directly from the warehouse receipt, and it can cover multiple source documents at once. That is useful when you receive several orders together, for example when you empty a full container.

Printing a receiving document from the warehouse receipt

A common need in the warehouse is a printed document that shows what to receive. The warehouse user wants something physical to work from while checking in and unpacking goods. Business Central lets you print this document directly from the warehouse receipt.

To do it, you create a new warehouse receipt in the inventory. A warehouse receipt can combine different source documents, so you pull in the relevant source documents and select the ones you need. From there, you print the receipt before you start the physical work of receiving.

Using the printed document while receiving goods

The printed document gives you a list of item numbers and quantities. While you receive the goods, you check off each line with a pen and note the actual quantities you find. This makes it easy to track what has arrived as you unpack.

Once you have finished the physical check, you go back to the warehouse receipt in Business Central and fill in the correct quantities to receive. This is the standard workflow for receiving goods, and it works well across multiple documents, such as when you are emptying a full container with several orders in it.
